THIS IS DONTAZE STORY
This young man was unnecessarily shot dead, killed by L.A.P.D. on November 11, 2008. Leaving a pregnant fiancee. He was shot right in front of her, first in the back of the leg then in the chest and mouth. It is extremely sad to say this is another one of those 'we thought his cell phone was a gun' shootings, as he was trying to catch up with his fiancee after they both had just left a pharmacy two blocks from their house.
Community organizations are involved. This Hip-Hop project is designed to really deal with this reality head on, up close, coast to coast; and ultimately being a part of the solution, beginning with spreading the word about our collective experiences.
Looking for four MC's for a Hip-Hop project dealing with the reality of police brutality, harassment and the overall experiences in the community. Others who may not be rappers, but who would like to participate in some form with the project are welcome as well.
