Charity in the Music Business

Yesterday Kim Wilson-Mindflux Marketing organized a toys for tots at Big Oomp Records in Atlanta. DJ Toomp, DJ Jelly, DJ Magestic, Isis, P. Brown, Yamil, A-Town Day and a host of other music industry personalities came out to give support through time, toys and other chartiable contributions. The event was about helping those less fortune.

Toys were distributed to the babies and food to their families. For a brief moment there were no worries for anyone just giving, talking and usual music industry networking. Radio One's Hot 107.9 did a live remote call in, SIR, Streettalk and Word on the Streets Magazines were there to cover the event as well.

The event reminded me how important it is to share and give back to those less fortune than yourself throughout the year. By doing this we all position ourselves to be positive contributors in our communities. Additionally, we also are in a position to receive assistance from others. Remember there's always somebody lower and higher than were you are. At the end of the day you're always in the middle.
